Dallas, Texas manufacturing client needs an interim Cost Accounting Manager for the next 6+ months to handle cost accounting and help with Dynamics 365 implementation, documentation of policies and procedures.Must live in Dallas, Texas and able to work onsite 100% initially for training and then a hybrid work schedule of 3/ days in the office and 2 days remotely.Functional Role: Cost Accounting ManagerStart Date: ASAPDuration: 6+ monthsRemote / Onsite / Hybrid: 100% onsite to start until trained up, then 3/2 hybrid work scheduleHourly Pay Rate: $65/hourWhat does the company do: $30m Revenue company (manufacturing)Location: Headquarters in Dallas, Texas 75261Onboarding Process (background/drug/etc.): Background check is requiredJob Summary:The Cost Accountant will perform advanced cost accounting analyses and track the financial aspects of the company's manufacturing operations. Will also assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, financial reports and work with other departments to improve cost efficiency.Duties/Responsibilities:Cost Analysis: Analyze actual manufacturing costs and compare them to budgeted costs, identifying variances and investigating the reasons for differences.COGS: Managing the cost of goods sold.Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, reconcile finished goods inventories, and assist with physical inventory counts.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budges and forecasts, tracking actual costs against planned costs, and providing reports on cost performance.Cost Control: Identify areas where costs can be reduced or controlled, such as material costs, labor costs, or overhead costs.Cost Reporting: Prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, analyzing cost variances, and providing management with cost-related information.Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as production, engineering, and sales, to improve cost efficiency and profitability.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.At least two years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.Top 3 Keys:1.
