"We build people" who build amazing things.About the RoleWe're looking for a Service Manager who knows how to run a high-performing service operation. This role is responsible for leading technicians, managing service workflows, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality work.You'll oversee daily service operations, track performance metrics, manage technician scheduling and dispatch, and ensure preventive maintenance and service calls are completed efficiently and correctly. You know how to support technicians while holding the team accountable for quality work, accurate documentation, and strong customer service.You're comfortable managing multiple moving parts - dispatching technicians, troubleshooting issues, reviewing service records, and ensuring preventative maintenance programs are delivered on time.You communicate clearly, stay organized under pressure, and focus on solving problems before they become bigger issues.You bring:Strong leadership and team management skillsA deep understanding of HVAC service, repair, and preventive maintenanceExperience supervising technicians and managing service operationsA focus on accountability, efficiency, and customer satisfactionStrong troubleshooting and technical support capabilitiesThe ability to analyze service data and performance metricsClear communication with both field teams and leadershipA proactive approach to operational improvements and customer relationshipsWhat You'll Be Responsible ForService Operations LeadershipOversee daily service operations and technician scheduling to ensure efficient job executionDispatch technicians based on priority, skillset, and workloadMonitor technician performance through service KPIs and operational metricsReview completed jobs daily to ensure accurate documentation, time entries, and service reportingEnsure preventive maintenance work is completed on scheduleTechnician Management & DevelopmentLead, support, and develop a team of service techniciansAssign work based on technician experience, skills, and job requirementsProvide coaching, technical guidance, and ongoing trainingConduct performance reviews and address performance issues when neededAssist with hiring, onboarding, and workforce planningCustomer Service & Client RelationshipsAddress customer inquiries or service concerns within 24 hoursMaintain strong relationships through proactive communication and site visitsEnsure customers are informed about service schedules, delays, and recommended maintenance solutionsOperational OversightMaintain accurate service records within the CMMS systemOversee service inventory, tools, and equipment availabilityMonitor operational costs including fuel usage and material consumptionConduct routine operational reviews and audits to improve efficiencyTechnical SupportProvide troubleshooting support to technicians in the fieldAssist with diagnosing complex service issuesStay current with HVAC technology and industry best practicesFacilitate technical training and skill development for the teamCommunication, Safety & ComplianceLead team meetings to review performance, safety updates, and operational prioritiesMaintain clear communication between technicians, service coordinators, and leadershipEnforce company safety standards, PPE requirements, and regulatory complianceQualifications & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredHVAC technical training or certification preferredOSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)EPA Section 608 Certification requiredMinimum 5+ years of HVAC service experiencePrevious service leadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong understanding of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and repairAbility to read technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and equipment manualsExperience using service management or CMMS softwareValid driver's license with a clean driving recordWhat We OfferAt Quantum Industrial Services, we believe strong teams build strong companies.
