Engineering Manager – Full Stack (Vue.js | Java/Scala) Location: Miami, FL (Onsite)Duration: 12+ MonthsJob SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on Web Technology Manager with strong Full Stack development expertise to lead an engineering team supporting enterprise web applications. This role requires a technical leader who can manage a development pod while actively contributing to architecture, coding, production support, and application modernization.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Vue.js on the front end and Java/Scala-based backend applications, along with proven experience managing engineering teams, supporting production systems, and driving application enhancements in an Agile environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of software engineers while remaining hands-on in application design and development.Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Vue.js and Java/Scala technologies.Build modern, responsive user interfaces using Vue.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and related frameworks.Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate front-end applications with backend services.Own production support activities, including incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), bug fixes, and enhancement requests.Manage sprint planning, code reviews, technical guidance, and engineering best practices.Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.Ensure application security, performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability.Monitor application health using enterprise monitoring tools and participate in on-call support when required.Manage application deployments, change requests, and release activities through Azure DevOps/TFS and ServiceNow.Promote Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.Required Qualifications8+ years of experience in Full Stack Web Application Development.3+ years of experience leading or managing software engineering teams while remaining hands-on.Strong expertise in Vue.js (Vue 2 preferred) and modern JavaScript (ES6+).Strong experience with Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and Nuxt.js.Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Sass/Less, responsive web design, and cross-browser compatibility.Strong backend development experience using Java and/or Scala.Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Functional Programming concepts.Experience with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and modern frontend architecture.Strong knowledge of Git and version control systems.Experience working with Azure DevOps/TFS or similar ALM tools.Experience with ServiceNow Change Management processes.Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Production Support ExperienceCandidates should have experience with:Production application supportIncident ManagementRoot Cause Analysis (RCA)Performance optimizationDefect resolutionEnhancement managementRelease coordinationOn-call production supportPreferred SkillsSpring BootNode.jsAzure or AWS CloudCI/CD pipelinesWebpack, BabelJest or MochaDatadogNew RelicCatchpointAdobe Experience Manager (AEM)DrupalEktronUpper Strata CMSDevelopment EnvironmentVue.jsJavaScript (ES6+)HTML5CSS3Sass/LessJavaScalaSpring BootREST APIsMicroservicesGitAzure DevOps / TFSServiceNowDatadogNew RelicAgile / ScrumSoft SkillsStrong leadership and people management skills.Ability to lead engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Strong ownership mindset with experience supporting mission-critical production applications.Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and deliver in a fast-paced Agile environment.Nice to HaveExperience supporting enterprise CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Drupal, Ektron, or Upper Strata.Experience with digital media, guest technology, or large-scale customer-facing web platforms.Experience driving modernization initiatives for legacy web applications.Thanks & RegardsMohd Hameedhameed.mohd@net2source.com
