Average worked Callback Hours: 1-2hSetting: Level II Trauma CenterDuties: We are currently doing about 10-11 heart surgeries per month, but we also do other thoracic cases that the PA may assist with. We do rounds every morning and the PA s are writing notes on post op patient, sometimes that is a shared duty with the surgeons. We usually have less than 10 patients in the hospital at a time. We do the follow-up clinic here at the hospital in the afternoon on Tuesday and Thursday (often after a morning surgery) and see up to 6 patients. Once in a while we see a patient at other times if there is an issue that can t wait until our next clinic day.Required Procedures: Must have recent and substantial cardiovascular surgical assist experience.
