If you are interested in working hard, delivering excellence, and having fun every day, we want you!What you’ll be doing:You’ll be a key member of our engineering team responsible for validating performance, durability, and reliability of products used in demanding marine and safety-rescue applications. In this role, you will design and execute test plans, design and build custom test systems, develop automated tests, and work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. You will help bring new products from concept through real-world validation while also advancing our internal testing capabilities, lab organization, and automation tools. More specifically, you will:Take ownership of product validation, developing and executing test plans that confirm performance, durability, and reliabilityDesign, build, and set up custom test fixtures and instrumentation to support both development testing and production needsDevelop and improve automated test systems, including software, sensors, and data acquisition, to increase repeatability and efficiencyAnalyze test results and communicate clear, actionable feedback to engineering teamsCollaborate closely with engineers across disciplines to ensure products are robust, testable, and ready for productionContinuously improve the test lab by enhancing equipment, layout, processes, and automation to support safe, efficient, and scalable operations Qualifications we are looking for:Bachelor’s degree in EngineeringMinimum of 1 year experienceStrong hands-on mechanical and technical aptitude, with interest in testing, instrumentation, or automationExperience with sensors, data acquisition, or automated testing systemsAbility to design fixtures or mechanical setups to support testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood communication skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teamsOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignmentsExperience that sets you apart:Experience with LabVIEW or similar data acquisition / automation softwareExperience working in a product development, manufacturing, or test lab environmentFamiliarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software for fixture designExperience with durability, fatigue, or life-cycle testingExperience with load testing, instrumentation, or mechanical test fixturesInterest in sailing, climbing, rescue, or mechanical equipmentIf Harken and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply!APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:Submit your resume via email to: jobs@harken.comHarken is an equal opportunity employer.
