BAS Design EngineerAbout the Role:My client is looking for a skilled BAS Design Engineer to join their growing team, delivering intelligent, energy-efficient building control solutions across commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop BAS design packages including control schematics, sequence of operations, point lists, and panel layoutsDesign HVAC control strategies for AHUs, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, FCUs, and energy recovery unitsSpecify BAS hardware and design BACnet, Modbus, LON, or other protocol-based network topologiesCoordinate with MEP engineers to ensure design intent is captured in control sequencesPrepare tender documentation, conduct design reviews, and respond to RFIs and submittalsLiaise with consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycleEnsure designs comply with ASHRAE, CIBSE, and relevant local standardsRequired Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related field3-7 years of experience in BAS/BMS design or building controls engineeringProficiency with a major BAS platform (e.g. Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider, Tridium Niagara)Strong understanding of HVAC systems and BACnet/IP, Modbus, or LON protocolsProficiency in AutoCAD or Revit MEPWhat My Client OffersCompetitive salary and benefitsHybrid workingProfessional development and chartership support
