Position Title Solution Engineer
Hours Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Overview Analyze client specifications for electrical engineering-related applications and adjust the one-line and schematic diagrams accordingly. This includes analyzing the application of Siemens' medium voltage switchgear products along with associated protection and control systems to design appropriate product solutions that meet client expectations. Create all documents for client review/approval and the manufacturing of medium voltage switchgears. Utilize engineering configuration software to prepare one-line drawings, control schematics, and bill of materials. Coordinate with other engineers, designers, and drafters. Provide technical support during manufacturing to ensure the final deliverable is true to design and meets client requirements. 20% domestic and international travel. Hybrid work permitted.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field plus three (3) years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus one (1) year of relevant experience.
Experience in design/configuration of electrical power distribution products and systems with emphasis on protection & controls for medium voltage switchgear.
Fundamental understanding of ANSI, IEEE, UL, NEC, and NEMA standards for MV switchgear.
Electrical drafting experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar.
Ability to read, understand one-line, and evaluate electrical schematics to identify errors or potential improvements.
Experience creating and working with smart CAD blocks.
