We partner with brands to create products that combine comfort, quality, performance, and scalable production.As we expand our U.S. presence, we are building a local team focused on developing long-term partnerships with apparel brands and supporting their product development needs.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Business Development Manager who understands the apparel industry and enjoys building real relationships with brands.This role will focus on actively identifying and developing new brand partnerships across the U.S. market. You will work under the leadership of the Director of Business Development to expand our network of clients and build long-term collaborations with apparel companies.Success in this role requires someone who is both commercially driven and product-aware—someone who can speak confidently with brand teams about styles, fabrics, fit, and product positioning, not just pricing.What You’ll DoBrand Outreach & Client DevelopmentIdentify and develop relationships with emerging and established apparel brandsBuild a pipeline of potential partners across categories such as:CasualwearActivewearAthleisureComfort-focused lifestyle apparelConduct regular outreach and scheduled visits to brand offices, studios, and showroomsPresent AOGU Apparel’s capabilities as a long-term manufacturing partnerField Sales & Market DevelopmentActively visit potential clients based on research and collected brand leadsMaintain a structured outreach schedule to maximize client acquisitionBuild trust with founders, product teams, and sourcing managersRepresent the company at industry events, showrooms, and networking opportunitiesProduct & Industry KnowledgeUnderstand key product details including:Fabric composition and performanceFabric weight (GSM) and garment structureFit considerations and garment constructionEngage with brand teams on product concepts and manufacturing feasibilityProvide feedback internally on market trends and brand needsCollaboration with Internal TeamsWork closely with the Director of Business Development to execute sales strategiesCoordinate with design and development teams when introducing new client projectsEnsure clear communication between clients and production teamsRelationship ManagementMaintain ongoing communication with prospective and active clientsBuild long-term partnerships rather than one-time ordersSupport client onboarding and early-stage product discussionsWhat You BringIndustry Experience3–8+ years of experience in apparel sales, sourcing, or business developmentFamiliarity with the U.S. apparel brand landscapeExperience interacting with brand founders, designers, or product teamsProduct KnowledgeUnderstanding of garment construction and fabric characteristicsFamiliarity with topics such as:Fabric weight (GSMKnit vs woven materialsComfort and performance fabricsAbility to discuss apparel products from both design and production perspectivesProfessional SkillsStrong relationship-building and communication skillsSelf-driven and comfortable with field-based business developmentOrganized and disciplined in managing outreach and follow-upsCurious about fashion trends and brand developmentYou ArePassionate about the apparel industry and emerging brandsComfortable meeting new people and building relationshipsInterested in understanding both product design and manufacturingMotivated to help brands grow by providing reliable production solutionsExcited to contribute to a growing U.S. teamWhy Join AOGU ApparelWork closely with fast-growing apparel brandsBe part of building a U.S. presence for a global manufacturing companyHigh level of independence and ownership in your roleOpportunity to grow into senior business development or leadership rolesFlexible work setup during the early expansion phaseWork EnvironmentRemote for the first 3–6 monthsField-based role involving regular client visitsHybrid/on-site setup planned as the team growsSouthern California (Los Angeles area) is a potential future office locationEqual OpportunityAOGU Apparel is an equal opportunity employer and values diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
