We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to improve and build new processes that support the meaningful work of independent physicians and the patients they serve.Job Description:Role Summary:The Radiation Oncology Operations Director will report to the SVP, RCM and is responsible for optimizing workflows related to medical documentation and coding across all radiation clinics and EMRs. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, charge capture, coding alignment, while driving consistency across all sites through training, performance management, and continuous process improvement. The position serves as the operational bridge between clinical teams and revenue cycle functions to achieve compliant billing while maximizing financial performance and reducing revenue leakage.This role with travel to our locations within the East Florida region.Responsibilities:Workflow Ownership & OptimizationServe as the organizational lead to optimize workflows within Radiation Oncology to ensure complaint, timely and accurate documentation and billing.Collaborate on end-to-end charge capture and documentation workflows across all sites with Radiation Oncology site leadership.Lead planning, execution, and stabilization of system implementations and workflow changes.Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies impacting revenue capture and clinical throughputStandards & GovernanceDevelop and maintain companywide standards for: Charge capture workflows Clinical documentation requirements CPT coding alignment ICD-10 coding workflowsEnsure consistent adoption across all centersPartner with compliance and RCM to maintain regulatory and payer alignmentTraining & EducationDesign and implement a comprehensive training curriculum across clinical and operational rolesDevelop role-specific training materials and system walkthroughsDeliver hands-on training for new workflows, templates, and system updatesEstablish onboarding programs for new hiresPerformance Management & AnalyticsDefine and track key performance metrics including charge lag, missing charges, denial trends, and documentation timeliness and accuracyConduct regular audits and identify root causes of performance gapsDrive corrective action plans and targeted retraining initiativesContinuous ImprovementEstablish recurring education programs including annual refreshers and targeted retrainingLead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and revenue capturePartner with operations leadership to scale best practices across marketsCross-Functional AlignmentEnsure alignment between clinical workflows and revenue cycle processesAct as liaison between clinical, RCM, and IT teamsSupport system selection, implementation, and future transitionsAdditional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.7+ of experience in Radiation Oncology operations.Deep understanding of charge capture workflows, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and documentation standardsProven experience leading or supporting EMR, billing system, or workflow implementations, including planning, go‑live execution, stabilization, and end‑user adoption.Strong working knowledge of healthcare compliance, payer requirements, and audit readiness, with experience partnering with Compliance and RCM teams to maintain standardized practices.Experience designing and delivering role‑based training programs for clinical and operational staff, including onboarding, workflow changes, and system updates.Ability to define, track, and interpret operational and revenue cycle metrics (e.g., charge lag, denials, documentation accuracy), conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.Experience with workflow optimization, system implementation, and training deliveryExperience working cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and RCM teamsFamiliarity with coding/workflow platforms preferredEssential Competencies:Attendance is an essential job function.Ability to lead end‑to‑end workflow design, system implementation, and stabilization efforts, identifying inefficiencies and managing changeAbility to establish governance standards and ensure alignment between clinical, compliance, and revenue cycle stakeholdersAbility to design, deliver, and sustain role‑based training programs tailored to clinical and operational audiencesSkilled in analyzing performance metrics, conducting audits, leading root cause analysis, and driving corrective actionsDemonstrated continuous improvement mindset, with experience scaling best practices across sites or marketsProven ability to drive operational performance and revenue improvementStrong collaboration, verbal, and written communication skillsThis job description does not contain a full listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of this role.
