Possess at least 1 Professional or Specialty certification from a cloud provider.Duties:In addition to the duties required of a Cloud Engineer Sr, a Cloud Engineer SME will provide technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development and implementation for complex to extremely complex systems within cloud infrastructure.Troubleshoots cloud performance issues.Analyses network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.Required Qualifications, Skills, Experience or Certifications:12+ years’ experience in information technology with 8+ years of recent hands-on experience deploying/configuring workloads within AWS OR AzureExperience designing and implementing cloud architecturesExtensive experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) including CloudFormation and TerraformGood understanding of DevOps best practices and experience working with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, and ArtifactoryHands-on experience managing Kubernetes clustersStrong experience troubleshooting enterprise computing and operating systems such as Linux and WindowsExperience documenting requirements, user stories, and use casesAbility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environmentProfessional Architect Certification in AWS OR AzureJob Role Specific Requirements:Producing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or Configuration as Code (CaC), delivering solutions with a code first approach with sufficient comments and structureCollaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutionsDiagnosing and resolving complex performance, security, and/or technical challengesSupporting all tiers of applications deployed in the cloud, configuring network, cloud native services, infrastructure, and privileges for development teamsIdentifying opportunities for optimizing cloud consumption by the agency and providing strategic direction for addressing those opportunitiesCreating/updating cloud environment configurations to establish/support application workloads, includingAzure Focused:Configuration of Subscriptions, Resource Groups, VNets, Subnets, load balancers, App Services, Azure Batch, Virtual Machines, resource tagging, billing, policy implementation, and security controlsAWS Focused:Configuration of AWS Accounts, IAM Users and Roles, VPCs, subnets, load balancers, Network routes, Transit Gateway, Control Tower, Systems Manager, Config Manager, stack sets, WAF, CloudFront, and Route53
