We foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.About the RoleKellton is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for a long-term remote contract opportunity. The role is focused primarily on backend microservices, AWS infrastructure, and React, with approximately 70% backend/Node.js and 30% frontend/React. You will work with agile engineering teams to develop the next generation of assessment technologies and solve remote testing security challenges.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with product, design, and technical teams on software projects.Work across multiple teams to implement and troubleshoot AWS CDK and GitHub Actions.Develop, test, release, and maintain backend services.Build and maintain AWS infrastructure.Contribute technically within an Agile engineering environment.Participate in testing, production support, and development activities.Develop test automation scripts and participate in code reviews.Collaborate with engineers through pair programming.Handle multiple assignments in a cross-functional environment.QualificationsBachelor's degree required, preferably in an analytical field.5+ years of relevant professional experience.Required SkillsAdvanced experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD.Advanced experience implementing serverless applications on AWS.Hands-on software development experience in highly scaled environments.Experience working on Agile engineering teams.Experience with pair programming.Some experience with Python.Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.Preferred SkillsStrong experience with backend and microservice development.Node.js / backend development expertise.React frontend development experience.AWS infrastructure and cloud development.AWS CDK.GitHub Actions.CI/CD pipelines.Serverless AWS applications.Test automation and QA.Production support.Agile/Scrum development.Cross-functional collaboration.Continuous improvement mindset.AWS Certified Associate or higher preferred.Pay range and compensation packageNot specified in the job description.Equal Opportunity StatementKellton is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
