We are an online and catalog marketplace offering a curated collection of the finest family of plus size brands and thousands of products.POSITION SUMMARY:The Financial Analyst will oversee the budgeting and analysis for their assigned brand(s) and indirect expenses. This includes taking ownership of the process and providing commentary to explain variances. The Financial Analyst will also be expected to support the weekly reporting and monthly projection process. They will be responsible for reporting results and preparing budgets and projections in a timely and accurate manner. This position will be a hybrid virtual/in-person role.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Review, develop and analyze information to assess the current and future financial status for assigned brand(s)/indirect expenses.Prepare and analyze budgets, projections, and actual results.Analyze data and summarize risks/opportunities of key merchandise assortment metrics.Provide detailed analysis by category and margin including discount forecasting and budgeting.Report actual results, budget and projection for Balance Sheet and Cash Flow including payables, inventory, paper, catalog costs, prepaid expenses, and free gifts.Cost accounting for breakeven catalog analysis and profit and loss statements by catalog used by brand and database marketing.Track and investigate variances and provide explanations for profit and loss statement line items.Perform month-end close duties with proper accrual accounting and preparation of journal entries for the General Ledger, as well as monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.Cost accounting for profit and loss statements by merchandise departmentsProvide account reconciliations and analysis for commercial investment related accounts.Special projects and analysis as required by the needs of the business.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance2+ years financial analysis experienceAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsPrior experience with major financial reporting systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.Must have the ability to create reports from independent data sources accurately and efficiently provide explanations for variancesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly self-motivatedAbility to work independently or cohesively with teams and all levels within the organization and strong interpersonal skillsMust have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsMust be able to work effectively in a fast pace environment and meet challenging deadlinesDemonstrated ability to identify key business drivers of financial variancesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or business5+ years financial analysis experiencePrior Oracle and Tableau experience
