Car Wash Associate Our Car Wash Associates are critical to delivering the friendly, safe, and professional service that distinguishes Tahoma Express and drives our sales results. Our Associates work as part of a team to provide the perfect guest experience to every one of our customers, both in our Car Wash and in our retail store. This includes making sure we have a sparkling clean Car Wash and store, and that we operate efficiently to help our guests get in and out quickly! Starting pay rate is $17.65 per hour.This requires energetic, talented people who enjoy customer service at a fast pace. If this sounds like you, bring your great customer service skills to a team of dedicated service professionals!Responsibilities:Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and availability to work a wide variety of days/shiftsCheerfully greet Guests, suggest and help them select products, and provide assistance throughout their visit to ensure the perfect Guest experienceAssist all Guests at kiosks when needed; enroll and maintain monthly membership dataLoad and guide all vehicles through the car wash safely and efficiently; strictly enforce all vehicle restrictions for entering car wash and utilizing vacuumsClean interior and exterior of car wash area, retail stores, bathrooms, and all parking lot areasWork with a sense of urgency to get tasks done safely, quickly, and with good quality; promptly report any issues or incidents of concernIdentify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout PTEUse all company resources efficiently to promote maximum financial results for PTE; maintain PTE equipment and assets to maximize return on investmentEstablish and maintain effective business relationships and with all employees, customers, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operateStrictly follow workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near missesMaintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard PTE assets at all timesRequirements:Minimum:At least 18 years or olderExcellent internal and external customer service skillsAbility to problem solve, effectively multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlinesGood written and verbal communication skills in EnglishGood interpersonal skills and ability to work with full diversity of public serviceTeam minded; always willing to help others and works with a cooperative spirit to get all store tasks doneStrong self starter and ability to work effectively with minimal supervisionHandles stressful situations calmly and stays on task despite disruption or distractionAbility to obtain a valid Food Handler's Card within one week of employmentCulturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and communityUncompromising integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentialityAbility to regularly work wide variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays; schedule availability range that includes minimum of ten shift times per week, inclusive of four on weekendsAbility to pass Background CheckPreferred:Car wash or retail experience in a busy, fast-paced environmentHigh school diploma or equivalentAny related vocational training or certificationsAbout Puyallup Tribal Enterprises:Puyallup Tribal Enterprises ("PTE") is the economic development arm of one of the largest Indian tribes in the Pacific Northwest.
