Kitchen Manager

Job Summary: The Kitchen Manager is the heart of our culinary operations, responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production and distribution across all Coffee Connection locations. This role demands a blend of culinary expertise, leadership, and logistical prowess to ensure our cafes consistently deliver exceptional food and beverages to our valued customers. Job Description: Food Production Management: Oversee all food preparation and production at the central kitchen, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards, and food safety protocols. Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage food costs and optimize production efficiency to meet budget targets. Develop and implement new menu items, staying ahead of culinary trends and customer preferences. Distribution & Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and finished products at the central kitchen. Develop and implement efficient distribution schedules to ensure timely delivery to all cafes. Oversee a team of drivers and delivery personnel, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols. Coordinate with cafe managers to anticipate and address any supply needs or issues. Food Safety & Quality Assurance: Champion a culture of food safety and sanitation, enforcing strict standards throughout the production and distribution process. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities, equipment, and delivery vehicles. Train staff on proper food handling, storage, and preparation techniques. Stay abreast of food safety regulations and ensure full compliance. Leadership & Collaboration: Inspire and motivate kitchen staff to achieve their full potential. Foster strong working relationships with cafe managers and front-of-house teams. Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to maintain smooth operations. Provide timely updates and reports to upper management regarding kitchen performance, food costs, and inventory. Qualifications: Proven experience in culinary management, preferably in a multi-unit environment. Culinary degree or equivalent experience. Deep understanding of food safety, sanitation, and inventory management principles. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
