Java developer with Apache Camel
Overview
In this role you will lead enterprise integration work, leveraging Java/Spring and Apache Camel to design and implement robust integration solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable patterns and APIs, contributing to a broader integration platform. The position emphasizes hands-on engineering, CI/CD, and quality through code and design reviews. You will influence architecture decisions and drive reliable, maintainable solutions at scale.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement integration flows using Apache CamelWork with open source ESB (Apache ServiceMix or RedHat JBoss Fuse)Apply Enterprise Integration patterns and SOA conceptsManage messaging with IBM MQ, including fault/ compensation handling and transactional boundariesDevelop RESTful APIs and document themUnderstand container architectures (Tomcat, Red Hat Fuse, EAP, WebSphere)Use Gradle for build scripting and TeamCity for CILeverage open source libraries for integration projectsPerform peer code reviews and design reviewsTranslate functional/non-functional requirements into phased implementation plans
