Cannabis Post Extraction Processing

This role is for second shift, approximately 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm. OG Extracts is a cannabis extraction company focused on creating elite products and providing exceptional service to clients. We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our growing team for the position of Post Processing Technician. This position is responsible for assisting with lab production, which includes but is not limited to distillation, extraction, winterization, production of cannabis infused products, compliance requirements, and workplace safety. *Primary Responsibilities* * Role model best practices in performance and attitude, contributing to a positive team morale and goal-driven company culture. * Majority of role will be post processing which included winterizing 10%, rotovaping 10%, running distillate machine 60% and associated post processing tasks 20%. * Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and operations checklists. Attention to detail in following safe and proper operation and use of any/all applicable machinery, instruments, equipment, chemicals and solvents. * All processes and work adhere to OLCC regulations. * Monitor and maintain organization, cleanliness and readiness of production areas. * Maintain quality control measures. * Operate laboratory instruments, make observations, calculate and record results. * Monitor production lines and collect samples for analysis. * Record data in lab notebooks, computer databases, and test reports. * Possess a thorough understanding of the company's quality standards. Report any variance in product quality in a timely manner to management. * Assist with loading and unloading supplies and client products. * Occasional trimming, bucking, warehouse organizing and inventorying. * Be an integral member of the production team to meet organizational goals and deadlines. * Follow company policies regarding attendance, dress code, and regulatory compliance. * Attend company meetings as needed * Other duties as assigned *Required Qualifications* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Thrive in a fast-growing/fast-paced environment, where adaptability and tenacity are imperative to meet organizational goals. * Familiarity with basic scientific principles and laboratory processes. * Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, following SOPs and standard analytical procedures to meet Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices compliance. * Understanding of all applicable policies, procedures and guidelines for the safe and proper operation of any/all machinery, instrumentation, and equipment. * Capable of working with hazardous chemicals and is able to identify and report unsafe equipment, conditions and practices so that they may be corrected prior to an incident. * Ability to maintain a laboratory notebook. * Reliable, punctual, and self-starter. * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and dedication to accurately follow established protocols. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to professionally interact with managers and coworkers with authenticity, poise and respect. * Ability to work well with others in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency. * Flexible in work and willing to help team members when needed. * Effectively communicate and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company. * Obtain a valid OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit prior to the first day of employment. * Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. * Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations required for working in the cannabis industry. * Must be approved to receive an Agent badge. * Must have reliable transportation * Must be 21 years of age or older. * Ability to work overtime, evenings and occasional weekends, as needed. *Preferred Qualifications* * Prior Laboratory experience. * Prior Cannabis Lab / Manufacturing experience * relevant college courses in biology, chemistry, or physics, or equivalent knowledge/experience. * Familiarity with regulatory systems standard to the cannabis industry. *Work Environment Conditions & Physical Requirements* This position interacts and collaborates with all levels of the organization. Contact and communication is carried out through face-to-face, telephone and digital interactions. Excellent communication skills are essential to success. Communication must be clear, understandable, professional, and respectful in all circumstances. Working Conditions: * Work is performed in a manufacturing warehouse and laboratory environment. * Occasional overtime, weekend and evening work may be required. * Noise exposure varies and sometimes includes laboratory machines. * Pace of work is active and demanding, requiring a high degree of multitasking and ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing concurrent projects/tasks to completion. Physical Requirements * Must be able to lift and move inanimate objects weighing up to 50 lbs. individually and up to 200 lbs. with assistance. * Prolonged sitting, standing and/or stooping. * Frequent repetitive physical motions that exist in extraction operations. * Frequent bending and reaching into confined spaces. * Frequent pushing, pressing and pulling. * Frequently audio abnormalities in machinery or alarms, timers, voices, etc. * Frequently visually monitor equipment readings and machine processes. * Occasional pushing and pulling of carted items weighing up to 150 lbs. * Frequent use of hands and arms at or above shoulder level, including grasping. * Keyboarding and use of computer peripherals. * Use of PPE: safety glasses, gloves, masks, etc. *Equal Employment Opportunity* OG Extracts is an equal opportunity employer that does not tolerate discrimination on any basis.
