This position reports to the Construction Manager and offers an opportunity to join a strong, collaborative team at an early stage of growth, gain valuable experience, and contribute to the continued expansion of GRC.ResponsibilitiesPosition consists of general heavy equipment operation for constructionDrilling equipment operators can operate a variety of equipment, used in installation/repair/maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective mannerSafely operates drill equipment on the job site which may include but is not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/TrailerRestores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the job siteWill develop and maintain a boring scheduleResponsible for the site set-up and clean-upLoad and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truckWill be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting constructionSetting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging trafficMay be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completedAbility to follow instructionsRequired QualificationsDirectional Drill Operating/Locating: 1 year experienceCDL AA valid driver's license is required for most positionsOn-call and weekend availabilityPreferred QualificationsFalcon F5 experience preferredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communications skillsUnderstanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plusAdditional InformationHourly Range: $25 - $33 Hourly, based on experienceSchedule: Day Shift, Monday - Friday & Night Shift, Sunday - ThursdayTravel Requirements: 100%Role Openings: 2Target Start Date: 2-3 weeks from offerInterview ProcessRecruiter ScreenHiring Manager InterviewFinal InterviewConditional offer upon successful background checkEqual Opportunity EmployerGlass Roots Construction (GRC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
