Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize digital signal processing algorithms using C++, Python, MATLAB and Simulink to meet project specifications.
Collaborate with hardware teams to implement DSP solutions on FPGA platforms utilizing SystemVerilog and programmable logic controllers.
Perform system-level design and integration of DSP modules within SoC (System on Chip) architectures, ensuring seamless operation across electrical and mechanical systems.
Conduct root cause analysis on signal anomalies or system failures through debugging techniques and electrical testing tools such as oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and logic analyzers.
Participate in project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of DSP components while maintaining quality standards.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in FPGA development, SystemVerilog, VHDL, and programmable logic controllers.
Extensive experience with signal processing techniques including filtering, Fourier analysis, and digital communication systems.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles including schematics creation, electrical systems integration, NEC standards, and surface mount technology.
Programming expertise in C++, Python, MATLAB, Scripting languages, and firmware development for embedded systems like ARM or PPC platforms.
Ability to perform root cause analysis through debugging hardware/software issues efficiently.
Experience working with vision inspection systems or vision-based quality control technologies is a plus. Requirements:
Eligible to obtain Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience in software development for embedded systems using C or Python and familiar with x86/x64 assembly.
Familiarity with Python and/or other programming languages.
Knowledge of Linux and associated development tools.
Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to articulate technical ideas clearly.
Preferred:
Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
Experience with industry production signal processing databases and toolsets.
Experience with GPUs for high performance signal processing computing.
Experience with modern communication modulations (FSK, OFDM, QAM, etc.).
Knowledge of common wired and wireless network protocol structures.
