Nutrition Services Accounting Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED.Possess basic secretarial skills such as typing and knowledge of business machines and computers.Possess basic accounting and Excel Skills.Competent in records management and general office procedures.Must have effective oral and written communication skills for outside district, as well as inside district.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:250 DaysSALARY/PAYGRADE:$33,163- CP4Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of TrusteesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Work with warehouse and purchasing staff on ordersCreate requisitions for vendors.Track payments, invoices and credits and release payments.Gather and input several daily vendor invoices from units. Reconcile statements each month and pay on time.Process all Lounge Order Supplies and Club Rewind orders. Prepare billing.Communicate with all campus staff regarding orders and billing questions.Reconcile daily bank deposits and provide the finance office with reports.Process account refunds and transfers.Obtain new vendor numbers from the finance office.Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or Food Service Accountant.SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY:All food service employees must use good body mechanics and follow safe working procedures including infection control. The employee must report any unsafe condition to a manager or supervisor and demonstrate no on-the-job injuries due to a lack of good safety practices.
