TUTOR/MENTOR/TEACHER ASSISTANT
Duties:
- Provide homework assistance to a small group of students in all school subjects (math, reading, comprehension, science, social studies to elementary school students)
- Provide individualized instruction to students in various subjects, including but not limited to math, reading, writing, and science when actual assignments are done.
- Develop and implement lesson plans based on students' needs and learning goals.
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with manager to provide updates on student progress.
- Collaborate with other educators and tutors to support students with learning challenges.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote active learning.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or students in an educational setting is preferred, but NOT required.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is preferred, but NOT required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
- Excellent organizational skills for lesson planning and record keeping.
AVAILABILITY:
- MUST BE AVAILABLE BETWEEN 2:45-6:45PM DAILY. HOWEVER, WE HAVE SHIFTS THAT START AT 2:45, 3PM, 3:30PM OR 4:30PM.
