Your day at a glance
You open your Mazak control, load up tools you selected, and bring the first job online. You fine-tune feeds and speeds, validate the Mazatrol program (and edit G-code when needed), and take first-article measurements. Hitting ±0.0005" is routine for you. Throughout the day you run parts, perform in-process inspections, document results, and keep your work area organized. When a challenge pops up, you troubleshoot swiftly—staying on schedule, collaborating with teammates, and upholding safety.

What you’ll do
Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC milling equipment using Mazatrol; read and write G-code as needed.
Hold tight tolerances to ±0.0005" and verify quality with in-process checks.
Select and set up tooling/fixturing; maintain machines, tools, and supplies.
Follow documented workflows and safety procedures while keeping accurate records.
Partner with the team, pitch in for overtime when requested, and keep a clean, orderly station.
Troubleshoot issues quickly to maintain throughput and part quality.
Required qualification
US Citizenship is required per DoD requirements
Minimum qualifications
Hands-on experience with Mazatrol controls.
Ability to read and write G-code.
Proven ability to hold ±0.0005" tolerances.
Skilled at machine and tooling setup.
Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height stands, indicators, etc.).
Preferred qualification
Experience with E2 is a plus.

Physical & mental expectations
Concentrate on detailed tasks with occasional interruptions, sustaining focus for 45–60 minutes at a time. Understand underlying concepts, track multiple assignments for yourself and others over time, prioritize amid shifting demands, and communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
Work environment
Industrial shop environment with dust, dirt, and metal chips present. Moderate noise levels should be expected.
