We are a 2000-person healthcare technology and consulting firm in the middle of a bold pivot to an AI-native "Service as a Software" model. Our platform ecosystem, including Pacca Platform, is live and evolving fast. We are looking for a VP of AI Engineering and Solutions who can do what very few people in this industry can: build real AI products at speed and then walk into a room with a healthcare CxOs and make them believe.This is not a traditional engineering leadership role. It sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and revenue. You will own our AI solutions practice end to end, co-sell with our sales team, run rapid prototypes that close deals, and lead a team spanning Product Management and Product Development Life cycles.What You Will DoDrive Revenue Through EngineeringCo-sell alongside account executives and sales leaders at healthcare payors and providersLead live demos and proof-of-concept builds that directly influence deal outcomesTranslate complex AI capabilities into compelling, accessible value propositions for C-suite buyersOwn 70% of your time on customer-facing solutioning, prototyping, and presales engineeringBuild Fast, Build RightRapid prototype AI-powered solutions using modern toolchains including Cursor, Claude Code, Replit, Bolt, and similar platformsLead solutioning of AI SDLC and AI product management engagements for customersArchitect and own EMIDS's internal AI-native development practices and delivery frameworksBalance speed-to-demo with production-grade engineering standards across the 30% internal build portfolioLead a High-Performing TeamDirectly manage and grow the organization across product management, product and software development lifecycle.Set engineering culture, hiring bar, and delivery standards for the AI practicePartner with the Chief AI Officer to evolve EMIDS's platform portfolio and internal toolingBuild and mentor a team of forward deployed engineers who blend technical depth with client presenceShape the PracticeDefine and refine EMIDS's AI PDLC / SDLC and AI product management offeringsDevelop repeatable demo assets, solution templates, and IP that accelerate the sales cycleContribute to positioning, thought leadership, and go-to-market strategy for the AI practiceWhat We Are Looking ForMust HaveProven ability to build AI-powered applications from rapid prototype through productionChampion a culture where every practitioner builds; leading by example with regular prototypes shared internally and externally.Hands-on fluency with modern AI development tools: Cursor, Claude Code, Bolt, Replit, or equivalentConsulting DNA: you have worked in a forward deployed or client-facing engineering capacityTrack record of influencing revenue: demos that closed, prototypes that won, deals you shapedLeadership experience managing cross-functional product and design teamsEntrepreneurial drive: you move fast, you build things, you take ownershipBased in the United States with the ability to travel frequently to client sitesStrong PlusHealthcare domain knowledge across payor or provider systems (not required but valued)Experience building AI agents, agentic workflows, or LLM-powered productsBackground in platform or product companies with a commercial engineering mindsetPrior experience at a management consulting or technology consulting firmWhat Success Looks LikeIn your first 90 days, you are in front of customers building demos and co-selling. Within six months, you have shipped repeatable AI solution templates and contributed to closed revenue.
