Job DescriptionAbout This Role:Citizens of the World is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct services, assessments, and support to students with speech and language needs. The SLP plays a critical role in ensuring students access their educational program fully and effectively, in collaboration with school teams and families.Key Responsibilities:Deliver speech-language therapy using a variety of models and approachesConduct screenings, formal assessments, and write comprehensive evaluation reportsDevelop and implement IEP goals and service plans aligned to students' needsTrack and document student progress toward IEP goalsCollaborate with educators to support classroom integration of communication strategiesParticipate in IEP meetings and engage with families about student progressMaintain accurate and timely records in Welligent or other required systemsContribute to the regional Special Education team and special projects as neededTravel between school sites as assigned Core Competencies:Cultural Responsiveness: Demonstrates a strong commitment to equity and celebrate the diverse backgrounds of our students and communities.Student-Centered Practice: Prioritizes the needs and growth of students, tailoring supports to enable meaningful access to learning.Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with educators, families, and cross-functional teams to support holistic student development.Communication: Engage clearly, compassionately, and professionally with all stakeholders.Adaptability: Navigate dynamic environments with flexibility, creativity, and solution-oriented thinking.Professional Excellence: Possess deep knowledge of speech-language services and stay current on best practices and compliance standards.
