As a Software Engineering Technical Leader in Cisco’s CX Engineering, you drive the next generation of enterprise AI and cloud-native platforms. You’ll define multi-year roadmaps and align business goals with high-throughput architectures, mentoring technical leaders across a global team. You’ll shape multi-tenant cloud designs, governance for microservices and data environments, and secure, scalable AI applications. This role offers meaningful impact shaping AI-driven platforms at scale within a customer-centric, technically rigorous culture.

ResponsibilitiesDefine end-to-end architecture and system topology for multi-tenant cloud platformsArchitect AI applications including Retrieval-Augmented Generation and multi-modal LLM orchestrationDesign high-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems with Kafka, caching, and multi-region data persistenceEnforce zero-trust security and data protection while meeting enterprise SLOsLead technical governance via architecture review boards and promote API contracts, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observabilityMentor Lead Software Engineers and unify disparate stacks towards enterprise goalsCollaborate with product and engineering executives to translate strategy into execution blueprints
Key requirementsBachelor’s with 8+ years or Master’s with 6+ years of related experience4+ years as a Technical Lead or similar for large-scale systemsPython for production-grade microservices and event-driven architecturesCloud-native ecosystems (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and automated CI/CDExperience with high-concurrency distributed data pipelines and messaging (Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB/Cassandra)API contracts (gRPC, REST, GraphQL) and domain-driven design (DDD)Navigate ambiguityDrive technical consensusCommunicate complex architectural concepts to diverse stakeholdersPython microservicesCloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)Kubernetes and Docker
