Responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones.Primary ResponsibilitiesGreets patients as they arrive and manage appropriate standard wait timesComplete check-in and check-out tasks to include patient demographic verification, insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures, and copy required documentsCollects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receiptsManages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policiesProcesses walk-in patients and visitorsPeriodic disinfection/cleaning of lobby areaAnswers phones and schedules appointmentsAnswer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as neededManages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the publicPerforms all other related duties as assignedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required QualificationsHigh school graduate or GEDSolid communication and customer service skills both in person and via phoneWorking knowledge of general office proceduresBasic knowledge of Microsoft applicationsThis position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of diseasePreferred Qualifications1+ years of related work experience including data entryICD 10 and CPT coding experience Experience with EMR computer applicationsWorking knowledge of medical terminologyPhysical & Mental RequirementsAbility to lift up to 35 poundsAbility to push or pull heavy objects using up to 35 pounds of forceAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to use fine motor skills to operate equipment and/or machinery Ability to properly drive and operate a company vehicleAbility to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solvingOccasionally requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluidsPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment.
