Assistant Sommelier

Salina is a premium-casual, contemporary coastal Italian restaurant located in Porter Ranch at The Vineyards. Our menu blends classic Italian traditions with Mediterranean influences and subtle global touches, designed for sharing and built around bold flavors, quality ingredients, and a warm, elevated dining experience. Our beverage program features a thoughtfully curated wine list and a focused cocktail program that complement the menu. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about hospitality, committed to excellence, and eager to become a key contributor to a strong and growing service team. Responsibilities include: Lead service with a hands-on, floor-driven approach Drive wine and beverage sales while building strong guest relationships Organize wine inventory, storage, Lead staff education and elevate overall beverage knowledge on the floor Requirements: Minimum of three years of experience, with preference for upscale or high-volume dining environments Strong foundation in Italian, French, and domestic wines, as well as spirits Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask, anticipate needs, and plan ahead Comfortable training and mentoring team members on wine and service standards Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and commitment to the success of the brand Flexible schedule with open availability based on business needs Compensation Details:Hourly: $23.00 – $26.00 plus tips Benefits & Perks:Potential bonuses and dining discounts Required Skills:Wine serviceStrong communication skillsGuest engagementCustomer serviceWine knowledgeTeam leadershipSales ability More detail about Salina - Porter Ranch part of No. 8 Hospitality, please visit
