This individual will play a key role in ensuring regulatory adherence, accurate payroll integration, and data-driven decision-making across benefit programs.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan AdministrationRetirementEnsure compliance with retirement and deferred compensation plans (401(k), 409A, 457(b)) including contribution limits, compensation caps, and regulatory updates (Secure 2.0)Partner with Payroll to review pay-period registers and validate retirement plan calculationsStay current on IRS limits (deferrals, catch-up contributions, HCE thresholds)Support testing for plan changes, system upgrades, and process improvementsHealth & WelfareSupport compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA regulationsAssist in benchmarking analysis through survey data and market comparisonsPrepare reports, presentations, and materials for leadership reviewData Management & ReportingSupport internal and external audits with accurate documentation and reportingPrepare recurring reports on enrollment, participation, and compliance metricsEnsure high accuracy in payroll and benefits-related data processingMaintain data integrity across HRIS and benefits platformsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or related field2–5+ years of experience in benefits administration, retirement plans, or related HR/finance functionHands-on experience with 401(k) and/or deferred compensation plan administrationStrong understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulationsAdvanced Excel skills and experience with HRIS/benefits systemsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
