This role is responsible for planning, writing, editing, and managing high-quality content that aligns with Lightera’s brand voice, messaging, and trademark standards across multiple channels. The ideal candidate can translate technical product information into clear, customer-relevant content and work effectively with Product Line Managers (PLMs), Marketing, Sales, Legal, and IT to deliver content that is accurate, compliant, and ready to publish.EDUCATION And EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5+ years of experience in marketing communications, B2B content, product marketing content, or a similar role. A portfolio of relevant writing samples (web pages, product collateral, articles, press releases) is required.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications, certifications, and/or licenses)Experience supporting B2B manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, or engineered productsFamiliarity with SEO tools and workflows (e.g., keyword intent, metadata, on-page optimization)Experience working within a CMS (WordPress preferred) and collaborating with web teamsExperience with Salesforce and/or Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) Basic HTML knowledge and understanding of web content structure (preferred)Experience working with global/regional stakeholders and content localization processes (preferred)Essential ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Product Line Managers (PLMs), Marketing, and subject matter experts to create and manage content for:Website pages, landing pages, and product pagesMarketing materials (product descriptions, datasheets, brochures, solution briefs)Advertising and campaign content (email, social copy, banners, paid ads)Articles and written content supporting internal and external communicationsPress releases and announcements in coordination with MarCom leadershipEnsure All Content Adheres ToLightera brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelinesSEO best practices (structure, headings, metadata, internal linking, readability)Proper trademark usage and Legal/compliance requirementsCreate, maintain, and update product content assets and records in Salesforce Manage content development workflows including briefs, inputs, drafts, reviews, revisions, and final approvals to meet deadlines and reduce reworkAdaptability & Problem-SolvingQuickly learn new tools, processes, and product/market contextOperate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders and shifting prioritiesIdentify bottlenecks early (e.g., approvals, missing inputs) and propose solutions to keep work movingBrand Voice & Tone ManagementMaintain consistent voice, tone, terminology, and messaging across channels and audiencesApply editorial rigor: clarity, structure, grammar, accuracy, and audience-appropriate languageSupport continuous improvement of templates, messaging frameworks, and style guidelinesBasic HTML/CMS Knowledge (Optional but valuable)Working knowledge of web publishing principles and CMS platforms (WordPress preferred)Ability to format and publish content or partner effectively with web publishing resourcesCross-Functional CollaborationWork effectively with Legal, IT, Marketing, and Sales to ensure content is accurate, compliant, and delivered on scheduleCommunicate clearlyCoordinate with designers to ensure copy and visuals work together and remain consistent with brand standardsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detailAbility to translate technical or complex information into clear, customer-relevant contentStrong communication and interpersonal skills; confident working across functions and levelsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyProficiency with tools and platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat/Adobe toolsFamiliarity with Salesforceincluding Account Engagement, and asset managementSEO fundamentals and web writing best practicesGraphic Design AwarenessUnderstanding of basic design principles to collaborate effectively with designersAbility to review layouts for readability, consistency, and brand alignmentGeneral ExpectationsDemonstrate effective communications (verbal, written) skillsProficient with MS Office SuiteMaintain discretion when working with confidential and proprietary informationStrict adherence to Company safety policies and proceduresExhibit Lightera “Standards of Conduct” Working at LIGHTERA means having the opportunity to realize ideas, experience innovation, and discover new solutions for the future.
