Speech Language Pathologist Location: Temple, TX Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $2,160 to $2,320 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $54.00 - $58.00/Hourly. Summary: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting evaluates, diagnoses, and treats residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP works primarily with geriatric populations, including individuals with stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological or medically complex conditions. Responsibilities: ⁠Perform bedside swallow evaluations and recommend diet modifications. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
