Receiving Associate - 2nd Shift

Big Rock sports located in Charlotte NC is looking for a detail orientated individual for our receiving team.Job PurposeIn this role, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional service to all Big Rock Sports customers by performing one of the Distribution Center’s job functions in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.Duties And ResponsibilitiesReceive inbound materials from vendors and customer return stock using RF Scanners and keyboard data entry.Unload and stage material within the receiving area using powered industrial equipment.Accurately handles receiving of all hazmat.Desire to work and be cross trained over multiple departments.Develop and maintain an appropriate level of understanding of distribution center operations.Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards, while ensuring that all work is performed with a consistent sense of efficiency and urgency.Work in compliance with all company, operations, systems, and safety related policies and procedures.Maintain an acceptable level of attendance.Perform housekeeping and other duties and responsibilities, as assigned. Unload containers.Qualifications18 years or older. Must have good understanding of English Language.Successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing.High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of related experience, training, and/or education.Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (limited heat or air conditioning).Minimum of one-year distribution center experience is a plus.One year of receiving experience preferred.Able to use Cherry Order Picker and Reach TruckAble to use pallet jacks (manual and electric).Able to operate forklift.Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.Effective communication skills, including the ability to read and write legibly and to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.English language fluency preferred. Strong basic math skills and attention to detail. Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays. Complete understanding of safety and risk management Hours: M- F 1:30pm - 10pm (hours adjusted with overtime needs). Saturday's for Overtime needs 12 - 6pmPhysical RequirementsMust be able to perform work that involves standing, walking, and bending for a minimum of eight hours.Able to continuously lift or push to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environmentWork Authorization Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
