Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (MD/DO) – Hybrid | Flexible Schedule | Outpatient Location: Laguna Hills, CA (Hybrid Remote) Job Type: Part-Time (0.5–0.8 FTE) Compensation: $185–220/hour DOE Schedule: Flexible 20–30 hours/week Western Youth Services (WYS) is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our outpatient mental health team serving children, adolescents, and families throughout Orange County. Flexible 20–30 hour/week schedule Hybrid telehealth/in-person model Competitive hourly compensation Primarily outpatient practice Collaborative multidisciplinary care teams Established community organization with strong clinical support Opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and families in a mission-driven environment Minimal after-hours responsibilities Leadership and PMHNP collaboration opportunities available for interested candidates Position Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric treatment Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as clinically appropriate Collaborate with therapists, care coordinators, case managers, and clinical staff Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic health record Participate in case consultation and interdisciplinary treatment planning Provide education and support to families and caregivers Optional consultation and collaborative oversight support for PMHNP staff based on experience and interest Qualifications • MD or DO from an accredited medical school • Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry • Child & Adolescent Psychiatry experience strongly preferred • Active and unrestricted California medical license • Current DEA registration • Experience treating children and adolescents preferred • Strong communication and collaborative care skills • Experience with outpatient psychiatry and community-based mental health settings preferred Benefits Benefits eligibility based on FTE status may include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 403(b) retirement plan with employer contribution Life insurance and long-term disability Flexible spending account (FSA) Employee assistance program Professional development support About Western Youth Services Western Youth Services is a leading nonprofit provider of children's mental health services in Orange County.
