The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients.Job SummaryOur client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant responsible for performing a variety of both clinical and administrative tasks. This role involves assisting physicians with patient care, managing clerical duties, and ensuring that patients benefit from clinical services.Key ResponsibilitiesCheck schedules, prepare charts, and organize patient flow;Collect patient history including medications and reasons for visit, chart in EMR;Check vital signs and perform EKGs;Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and order supplies;Assist with minor procedures and perform CLIA waived tests;Manage medical records, obtain lab and test results;Propose medication renewals within patient charts;Ensure patient results are reviewed in a timely manner;Support care coordination and participate in quality improvement initiatives;Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR;Respond to clinical emergencies and participate in staff meetings and education;Other duties as assigned within the scope of a Medical Assistant.QualificationsMedical Assistant experienceCertificate preferredBenefitsPaid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).Health Benefits / Dental / Vision (Medix offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan.
