Certification AnalystJob Responsibilities: QA/Regression Testing:Create a comprehensive test plan that covers all aspects of POS software, including frontend, backend, and integration points.Define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria specific to POS functionality.Conduct thorough functional testing of POS applications to verify that they meet business requirements.Validate transaction processing, payment methods, discounts, refunds, and loyalty programs.Test user interfaces, including touchscreens, buttons, and menus.Verify seamless integration between POS systems and other components, such as payment gateways, inventory management, and customer databases.Test data synchronization, API communication, and third-party integrations.Ensure compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirements.Measure response times, resource utilization, and scalability.Evaluate the user experience (UX) of POS interfaces.Test navigation, error handling, and overall usability.Brand Testing: Conduct thorough brand testing for payment devices, including Point of Sale (POS) terminals, Mobile POS (MPOS) devices, Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), and vending machines. Ensure compliance with major payment networks’ specifications and requirements.Test Tool Usage: Utilize the UL Brand Test Tool or ICC Test tool to validate payment devices before connecting them to payment networks. This tool covers all mandatory tests for EMV compliance and interoperability.Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest EMV specifications and updates. Ensure that the UL Brand Test Tool remains current with the most recent standards.Test Execution: Perform on-screen guided tests using the UL Brand Test Tool. Validate card simulations for EMV-in-transit scenarios.Integration with M-TIP and ADVT: Integrate the Test Tool with other testing processes, such as Mobile Transaction Initiation Protocol (M-TIP) and Application Data Verification Testing (ADVT).Conduct EMV certification testing for payment terminals and devices.Analyze test results and identify issues related to EMV implementation.Create and maintain certification documentation and test plans.Organization and time management skills:Familiarity with payment processing systems, card networks, and terminal hardware/software is crucial.Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues related to EMV certification, such as compliance, and transaction flow.Analyzing logs, test results, and certification documentation requires meticulous attention to detail.Organizing and managing certification projects, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.Coordinating with stakeholders (payment networks, vendors, and developers) to ensure smooth certification processes.Writing clear and concise certification reports, test plans, and procedures.Working closely with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, compliance) to achieve successful certifications.Problem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause analysis.Basic Qualifications for Consideration:Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or equivalent Development work experience preferred.3+ years of professional experience in a QA or Certification Analyst role.Knowledge of and working experience with Point-of-Sale terminals.Mid-Level to Good knowledge on EMV functionalities. Knowledge of and experience working with Certification Tool kits like UL and ICC.Knowledge of and experience working with payment solutions.Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:Strong abstract skills.Exceptional self learning skills.English Speaking Ability Skills.
