This role is an opportunity to step into meaningful, hands-on client work alongside a collaborative team that values clarity, responsiveness, and practical legal solutions.We are looking for an attorney with a strong foundation in employment and labor law, ideally representing employers, who is ready to contribute at a high level while continuing to grow within a supportive and team-oriented environment.About The RoleYou will work closely with a tight-knit employment and labor team that collaborates across all three of our offices and meets regularly to ensure consistency, quality, and strategic alignment in client service. This is not a siloed role, you will be part of a group that actively supports one another and shares knowledge.Our clients span a wide range of industries, and we pride ourselves on delivering clear, actionable guidance that helps them make confident decisions in real time.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise employers on a broad range of employment and labor law mattersHandle administrative agency matters (EEOC, NLRB, state agencies)Draft and review employment policies, agreements, and handbooksSupport or lead litigation matters, depending on experiencePartner with clients on day-to-day counseling and risk mitigationCollaborate with attorneys across offices and practice areasQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school and licensed in Nebraska8+ years of experience in employment and labor law (employer-side preferred)Strong writing, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to provide clear, concise, and practical legal adviceSound judgment and confidence in decision-makingA collaborative mindset and willingness to engage across teamsProfessional demeanor, discretion, and strong commitment to client serviceOrganized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple prioritiesTech-comfortable and willing to learn new systems and processes including integration of AIReliable, highly responsive, resourceful, and team-orientedFlexible and adaptable; enjoys fast paced workWhy Woods AitkenWe recognize that experienced attorneys have options.
