Eighth Generation is hiring for 2 summer internships: Business Development & Operations Internship & Product Development InternshipBusiness Development & Operations InternshipAs a Summer Intern, you will be immersed in our Operations and Business Development departments. Eighth Generation, proudly owned by the Snoqualmie tribe, provides a strong, ethical alternative to “Native-inspired” art and products through our artist-centric approach and 100% Native designed products. We are reclaiming a market that has been dominated by non-Native companies using stolen and fake “Native-inspired” designs by investing in Native creativity, capacity, entrepreneurship, and values.Throughout the program, you will work closely with department leaders to develop core competencies, interdepartmental coordination, and pillars of exceptional service. You will receive regular feedback from department leaders on performance and learning objectives.Program Length: 3 monthsProgram Dates: June – August, 2026Location: Seattle, WANumber of Internships Available: 1Application Deadline: April 30, 2026Compensation: $21.30 / hourPerks:*Eligibility of rewards and benefits is dependent upon job statusDiscounts on Eighth Generation productsWhat you will do:Custom and Special Projects Support: Help prepare project proposals, presentations, and reports.Coordinate with internal teams and clients to track project progress.Donations and Sponsorships: Research donation and sponsorship opportunities.Assist in preparing donation and sponsorship materials.Participate in remote retail selling events – assisting in set up, break down and interacting with customers.Assist in tracking operational projects and communicate status to team membersLearn project management basics to develop project plans, scoping and tracking activitiesAdditional Expectations:Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development, etc.).Professionalism: Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and business partners in a professional and timely manner.Learning and Growth: Take initiative to learn about different aspects of the business development process.Basic Requirements:Authorized to work in the U.S.Must be age 18+Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement.Strong interest in business development and business operations.Strong attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a passion for learning in a fast-paced environment.Additional Details: This role is located onsite in Seattle. Throughout the program, you will collaborate closely with the Creative and Product Director to build an understanding of the product development lifecycle, production processes, and the key functions that support a retail business.During the internship, you will receive regular guidance and feedback from department leadership to support your learning goals and professional development.
