Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist to join the team.This role leads retirement strategy for union-represented populations and advances the employee experience for retirement and financial well-being programs. The position partners with Labor Relations, Communications, Finance, Legal, Operations, and key business partners to support union negotiations, improve program effectiveness, and deliver a simpler, stronger employee experience.In addition to the primary areas of focus, this role may also provide subject matter expertise and support for other retirement and benefit programs, policy matters, and complex issues as business needs require.This role supports team goals by helping:Deliver superior customer value by simplifying the employee experience, improving understanding of retirement benefits, and strengthening retirement and financial well-being communicationsAttract and engage talented people by supporting retirement benefits that help Boeing attract and retain employees and by evaluating and implementing new benefits and program enhancementsDrive profitable growth by partnering with key business partners and Labor Relations, Finance, Legal, and Operations to support labor strategy, enhance retirement plan value, and increase employee appreciation of retirement benefitsThis position allows the candidate to be based out of one of the following: Seattle, WA; Seal Beach, CA; Oklahoma City, OK; Plano, TX; San Antonio, TX; Huntsville, AL or Ridley Park, PA.Position Responsibilities:Union Negotiations and Retirement StrategyLead retirement strategy for Boeing union-represented populationsPartner with business partners, Labor Relations, Finance, Legal, and Operations to support union negotiations, bargaining strategy, and retirement-related policy mattersRecommend and provide rationale for retirement plan design changes, policy changes, and procedural updatesAnalyze retirement plan provisions, benefit questions, and negotiating positions to develop recommendations that support Boeing objectivesCompare plan proposals and contract language against internal and external practices to help resolve issues and support negotiationsDraft or support plan documentation, amendments, and related materials for review and approval as neededBuild strong partnerships across internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure aligned strategy and effective executionProvide subject matter expertise on pension, 401(k), nonqualified, and other retirement benefit programsEmployee Experience and Financial Well-BeingLead the strategic enhancement and simplification of the Retirement Experience, using employee feedback, utilization data, and business priorities to guide improvementsDevelop, implement, and manage onsite support frameworks that increase employee and HR knowledge of financial well-being topicsDesign and own the financial well-being communications operating rhythm, including tactics, review cycles, and alignment with the Total Rewards integrated calendarServe as the primary financial well-being integrator for Total Rewards HR education and onsite programs, including benefits fairs and other employee engagement activitiesDevelop and implement initiatives that improve employee understanding, engagement, and utilization of retirement and financial well-being programs through education, outreach, communication, and onsite supportIdentify opportunities to simplify the employee experience and improve delivery quality through process enhancements, better communications, and stronger coordinationUse employee feedback, survey data, and program metrics to evaluate impact and recommend improvementsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):5+ years of experience with employee benefits, doing strategic Human Resources work in another function or as an HR business partner5+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment5+ years of experience working for a large employer with both union and non-union populationsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher10+ years of experience in a large, complex environment with responsibility for retirement plan strategyExperience supporting union negotiations, labor-sensitive benefit strategy, or collectively bargained plan designExperience improving employee experience through benefits education, communications, or engagement initiativesExperience managing or supporting RFPs, vendor negotiations, or retirement consulting relationshipsConflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process” to all job descriptions moving forward.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
