The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties, in such a manner that maintains safe working conditions, maximum production, world class maintenance procedures, quality standards, preservation of equipment capacity, and investment capital.Mechanical TasksUnderstanding of and experience with reading drawings, Bills of Materials, parts identification, planning and schedulingDetermine work procedures to assemble, dismantle and overhaul machinery and equipmentWork with a wide variety of precision toolsPerform a variety of maintenance related tasks in connection with the maintenance, repair and/or improvement to equipmentAble to troubleshoot, PM, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsLaser align equipment, rebuild pumps, change machine bearings, operate cutting torch, weld plate and pipe, safely troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components, etc.Expertise with common paper mill equipment/components such as: conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, rolls bearings, seals, chains, sprockets, couplings, cylinders, valves, etc.Operate equipment such as hoists, cranes, fork-lifts, welding machines, burning rigs, etc.What You Need To SucceedMust have a high school diploma or GED equivalency diploma5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferred)Demonstrated the drive to achieve and have upward movement in various jobsSelf-motivated desire to learnCapable of meeting physical requirements to include working weekends/holidays, around heat, noise, work inside/outside, etc.Has the mechanical, mathematical, and verbal aptitude to learn positionsProven record of performanceBe able to work well with others, understanding all rules and regulations that are associated with this facilityAble to complete and submit an employment application onlineAble to operate in heavy manufacturing site and work variable schedule and overtime as needed.What We OfferCorporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability, and excellenceComprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunitiesAn attractive salary reflecting skills, competencies, and potentialA career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work.Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.
