This position supports production efficiency, quality performance, and workplace safety by prioritizing work effectively, minimizing scrap, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) environment. The role also contributes to team capability by supporting training and adherence to standardized work practices.ResponsibilitiesComplete Automotive and MV‑Kitting shop orders in accordance with work orders and production schedulesPrioritize shop orders based on due dates and job complexity to meet production and delivery requirementsRead and interpret work orders, specifications, materials requirements, dimensions, and tolerancesEnsure production and quality standards are met while generating minimal scrapAccurately complete all required paperwork related to material usage and labor reportingParticipate in the planning and implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) measures to support an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workplaceAdhere fully to Leader Standard Work expectationsOperate all equipment in a safe, effective, and compliant mannerProvide training and guidance to new or junior employees, as required, following control plans and emphasizing safety, efficiency, and qualityPerform other duties as assigned by managementQualificationsKnowledge of machines and tools, including proper use and applicationUnderstanding of materials, production processes, quality control, and required training completionStrong communication skills, including active listening and verbal communication, with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to work in a fast‑paced environment with frequently changing prioritiesAbility to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to understand, follow, and comply with work directions, training manuals, standard operating procedures, and safety requirementsVisual acuity sufficient to examine and inspect materialsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeFrequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers for repetitive motionsAbility to frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 lbsAbility to occasionally sit, climb, stoop, kneel, or crouchEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience#IND1Mattr delivers advanced material technologies and complex manufacturing expertise.
