Responsibilities
Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, stocks, and other components.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Follow food safety protocols to ensure high standards of hygiene.
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other culinary tools.
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages.
Participate in menu planning and development as needed.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and knife skills is advantageous.
A passion for the food industry and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
