We are proud to be trusted partners in shaping safe, efficient, and resilient infrastructure.Job DescriptionThe Project Engineer will perform civil engineering design services in a team-oriented environment. Project emphasis is transportation engineering design for both public and private sectors which range in scope from small to multimillion-dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs and other governmental agencies – municipal, county and state.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDaily production of civil engineering design plansWork as part of a team to deliver quality design that adheres to the project budget and scheduleResponsible and accountable for client/customer satisfaction and technical project executionPerform other job duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) registration in Illinois, or ability to obtain IL licensure in 3 months5-10 years of hands-on plan preparation experience for public agency roadway projectsProficiency in Microstation as well as a related transportation design package (OpenRoads Designer, Geopak) although candidates with an AutoCAD/Civil3D background will also be consideredWorking knowledge of DOT/AASHTO StandardsDOT project experience is preferred (IDOT is a plus)Proficiency with Excel and other general office softwareStrong verbal, written, and organizational skillsPhysical QualificationsAbility to sit and use a computer for extended periodsVisual focus for electronic documents and design softwareSufficient mobility to move to various locations in and out of the office to use various office equipment, coordinate with other staff, visit other EFK Moen and client offices/meeting locationsEFK Moen OffersPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid Company HolidaysPaid Parental LeaveHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company ContributionCompany sponsored Short and Long-Term disability coverageCompany sponsored life insurance coverageProfessional License exam fee reimbursementBonus opportunitiesSupport of professional organization membership and activitiesWork-life balance through a flexible, casual work environmentA culture of mentoring and teamworkStarting Salary Range: $90,000-130,000Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.EFK Moen is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
