Shipping Clerk
Shipping ClerkThe Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible to ensure that product to be shipped and associated product documentation meet customer requirements as specified on the shipping order. To select, package and label resale or fabricated product for shipment in accordance with customer specifications. To ensure that resale items and raw materials are received, inventoried and tagged with appropriate information forwarded to quality control for inspection and then placed into inventory stock location or set aside for return.
Shipping duties typically involve the following:
Verifying that orders are accurately filled and complete by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment with properly completed documentation
Ensuring that shipments are properly packaged and identified with shipping information
Receiving duties typically involve the following:
Check for damaged goods and document and photograph when required
Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against purchase order receiving copy
Ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments with the establishment; and preparing and keeping records of goods received
Maintain good housekeeping throughout the shipping and receiving area
Report quality problems to applicable supervisor
Responsible to follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as necessary
Any other tasks/activity assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the shipping system
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Sealing Devices Quality System.

Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members. Salary range for this role is $18 to $20/hour.
