Senior Interior Designer

Overview - Senior Interior Designer / Project ManagerOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager to lead high-end residential and hospitality interior design projects from concept through installation. Working closely with firm leadership, this role will oversee all phases of the design process, including space planning, design development, furniture and finish selection, and final installation.The ideal candidate is both a creative visionary and strong project leader with deep knowledge of interior design, custom furnishings, and vendor coordination. This role will manage multiple projects, oversee junior design staff, and serve as a key liaison between clients, architects, contractors, and vendors.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of the design process including space planning, schematic design, design development, and furniture/finish selectionLead design projects from initial concept through final installationRepresent the firm in meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and vendorsCommunicate design vision and direction to junior staff while delegating tasks and overseeing timelinesCreate and maintain project budgets, schedules, and staffing plansEvaluate project scope, feasibility, and resource needs to ensure successful executionOversee design integration, furniture specifications, and finish selections to ensure cohesive project outcomesReview and verify proposals created by the design team and oversee proposal submission and approvalsCoordinate with vendors, contractors, and clients to address project issues and maintain progressOversee project installations and ensure timelines and quality standards are metMaintain ongoing communication with principals regarding project status, custom orders, and design decisionsBuild long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and design showrooms through consistent communication and project updatesDevelop strong working knowledge of custom furniture, materials, and specialty finishesRequirements & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (Associate Degree considered with relevant experience)7–10+ years of experience working in a residential or hospitality interior design firmProven experience managing design teams and delegating project tasksStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines simultaneouslyExceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approachHighly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced and collaborative design environmentDemonstrated portfolio of successful high-end interior design projectsValid driver's license and reliable transportationSoftware & Technical SkillsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft OfficeExperience with Studio Designer preferredKnowledge of AutoCAD or Revit is a plus but not required3P Careers specializes in placing architects, engineers, interior designers, and related professionals within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries.
