We are seeking a Part Time Assistant Teacher/Floater who is passionate and enthusiastic about early childhood education as well as someone who can multitask in a lively environment, and loves working with children from Infancy to Pre-K. A part time floater at The Goddard School is responsible for helping to establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, they are responsible for working with teachers and in conjunction with the entire faculty.A part time floater must meet the qualifications of his or her state and the following qualifications:The ability to understand and support the education program using "learning through play" philosophyThe ability to interact closely with children at their levelThe ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all timesThe ability to change children's diapers and/or assist in toileting (where necessary)The ability to understand and comply with the franchisee's employment policiesThe ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children and parentsThe ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergenciesThe ability to comply in all respects with all applicable laws and regulations relating to childcareAn approved criminal record check, as required by state regulationsThis Is Your MomentThe joy of childhood comes from those bright sparks of discovery -- moments that delight and surprise us.
