Together, we're building a sports-focused social experience unlike anywhere else in the city, and we're looking for a Social Media & Events Intern to help bring it all to life.You'll work directly with our Marketing & Social Media teams to create content, support sports-focused events and activations, capture the action on game days, and help grow the buzz around all three locations. Read more about specific job responsibilities below.RequirementsJob ResponsibilitiesCreate, design, and manage engaging social media content for Victory Lap West Campus, Victory Lap Rainey, and Side Piece Pies, capturing the excitement of game days, watch parties, events, and everyday momentsBuild and manage monthly content calendars to streamline scheduling and posting across all brands and locationsAttend sporting events, activations, watch parties, and nightlife experiences as the boots-on-the-ground representative for Victory Lap and Side Piece PizzaCapture, edit, and share real-time photos and videos using iPhone, CapCut, Canva, and Instagram's creative toolsCreate hype-driven sports content surrounding college football, NFL Sundays, March Madness, playoff games, rivalry matchups, and other major sporting eventsManage community engagement by responding to DMs, comments, and messages to foster an authentic, sports-driven digital communityStay up to date on sports culture, social trends, memes, and emerging content formats to keep content fresh, timely, and culturally relevantSupport planning, promoting, and executing high-energy game day events, watch parties, and activations across Victory Lap West Campus, Victory Lap Rainey, and Side Piece Pies—you are our demographic, so your input mattersUtilize campus and local connections to build brand awareness and drive attendance for sporting events and promotionsAssist with tracking metrics and KPIs including follower growth, engagement rates, reach, and event attendanceCraft creative, witty, and sports-focused captions that bring each brand's voice to life across social platformsCollaborate and communicate with onsite staff and leadership teams to align on marketing, branding, and event initiativesAssist with other duties and special projects as assigned (because great ideas can come from anywhere!)Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and game days, is requiredQualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Sports Management, Photography, or a related fieldSkilled iPhone photographer and video editor; experience using CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere, or similar editing platformsExperience using Canva for graphic design and social media content creationStrong grasp of major social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTokPassion for sports, food, beverage, nightlife, and hospitality cultureStrong understanding of college sports culture, especially Texas athletics and major sporting eventsFluent in the English language, its rules, and proper usageSkillsEnergetic self-starter who works well independently and within a small teamWeb savvy and a skilled internet/social media researcherExcellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at onceGo-getter mentality—you take initiative, ask questions, and thrive on learning by doingHighly social and comfortable engaging with new people, both online and in personAbility to thrive in loud, high-energy, fast-paced event environmentsBonus Points if...You have strong campus and local connections and are actively involved in Austin's social sceneYou have photography or videography skills, especially sports or nightlife contentYou have experience using Later, Planoly, Buffer, or other social media scheduling toolsYou're familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Lightroom, Photoshop, or IllustratorYou've managed social media accounts for a sports team, student organization, club, business, or nonprofitYou love college football and know the West Campus and Rainey Street scenes inside and outYou're the person in your group chat organizing game day plansTeam & Work ScheduleWork schedule to be determined upon hire. Schedule is flexible, but hours should be consistentMinimum 20 hours per weekNights and weekend availability will be required (to cover game days, watch parties, etc.)This is a hybrid position. While some work can be completed remotely, it is crucial that you are located on-site in Austin, Texas and available to attend events, activations, and content shoots across West Campus and Rainey StreetBenefitsThis paid internship will run from May 2026 to August 2026 with the possibility to continue into the fall semester. The internship will be approximately 20 - 30 hours per week. Pay is $15 per hour.LV Collective offers a collaborative, fun, and flexible work environment inside its beautifully designed office located in Downtown Austin, Texas.Relocation will not be provided.
