Entry Level Manual QA Engineer – Mobile Application Testing (Android/iOS)

About the RoleWe are seeking an entry-level Manual QA Engineer to join our team in Alameda, CA. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of experience who are passionate about software quality and mobile application testing. You will be responsible for manually testing native Android and iOS applications, validating web applications, and supporting software complaint investigations for production software.This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career QA professionals looking to grow their careers in software quality assurance.ResponsibilitiesPerform manual testing of native Android and iOS mobile applications.Execute functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing.Test web applications and validate software functionality.Reproduce, investigate, and document software issues reported by customers.Report, track, and verify defects through the defect lifecycle.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve software issues.Support post-market surveillance and software complaint investigation activities.Maintain detailed test documentation and test execution results.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.1–3 years of software testing or QA experience (internships and academic projects are welcome).Strong understanding of manual software testing methodologies.Experience testing native Android and iOS mobile applications.Experience testing on physical mobile devices (not just simulators/emulators).Experience with web application testing.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Ability to work onsite in Alameda, CA.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the Medical Device or Healthcare industry.Complaint Investigation or Post-Market Surveillance (PMS) experience.Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
