Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp.Job DescriptionThe CI Process Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes/methods/strategies in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Priorities include process improvement, problem resolution and employee training. Lead Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement teams for manufacturing and support processes. Goal oriented, data driven, with a strong sense of urgency.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide process support for EB, PAM, and VAR processesImplement/monitor Statistical Process Control for critical melt processing parameters (i.e. EB gun power, melt rate, pressure, etc...)Implement/monitor Statistical Process Control for critical part and process parametersAbility to influence, gain commitment, and leverage best practices across all levels of the organizationInitiate or support new melt process or engineering technologiesParticipate in continuous improvement projects to minimize deviant/nonconforming product and optimize throughput.
