Job Roles And ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate daily activities of a 2nd shift team (4-6 machinists)Perform hands-on CNC setups, prove-outs, and troubleshooting of complex partsOperate CNC machines as needed to support workflow and priority jobsEnsure compliance with AS9100 standards, quality requirements, and internal proceduresInterpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to ensure accuracyDrive accountability for quality, efficiency, and on-time deliveryCommunicate effectively with programming, quality, and day shift leadership for smooth handoffsIdentify and implement process improvements to reduce scrap and improve cycle timesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentTake ownership of team results with focus on precision, accountability, and continuous improvementQualifications And Certifications7+ years of CNC machining experience in a high-precision environment (aerospace/defense preferred)Strong experience with machine setup, tooling, and troubleshooting complex partsPrior leadership or lead experience preferredProficient in blueprint reading and GD&TExperience with 5-axis machining and exotic materials (Inconel, Titanium, etc.) strongly preferredStrong communication and leadership skillsMust be able to legally work in the United StatesMust be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status)Benefits$3,500 sign-on bonusCompetitive pay based on experience401(k)Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceHealth savings accountLife insuranceEmployee assistance programPaid time off
