Our organization is located in Biddeford and Springvale, Maine, and is currently looking for a full-time psychiatrist (1.0 FTE) to become part of our dedicated team. This role offers a distinctive chance to engage with various levels of care.Position Overview:The responsibilities of this position include:Three days a week focused on the Comprehensive Addiction Psychiatry Service (CAPS) and the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), both situated at our Biddeford Main Street location.Two days a week in a combined role providing psychiatric services for the PHP and covering the CAPS Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).One day a week dedicated solely to the CAPS program, which involves conducting IOP intakes, following up with patients, and offering outpatient care for a limited number of CAPS clients.Two days a week in outpatient care at either:Biddeford Ambulatory Clinic on Springbrook Drive, orSpringvale Ambulatory Clinic, depending on the provider's preference.About the Comprehensive Addiction Psychiatry Service (CAPS):CAPS specializes in treating individuals with substance use disorders alongside co-occurring psychiatric issues. The services provided include intensive outpatient programming, medication-assisted treatment, and integrated behavioral health strategies within a multidisciplinary team. The CAPS Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an in-person initiative designed as a transitional step for individuals moving from the PHP program, facilitating their recovery and ensuring a seamless transition to outpatient care.About the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP):Located at our Biddeford Main Street facility, the PHP serves as a bridge between inpatient and outpatient care, offering an alternative for those needing more intensive treatment than standard outpatient visits. The program features two distinct tracks:One track aimed at mental health stabilization.Another track focused on substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring conditions.Structured, group-based therapy emphasizing emotional regulation, cognitive restructuring, and overall wellness.Personalized treatment planning with defined tracks and lengths of stay.A multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses.A commitment to alleviating psychiatric symptoms and preventing the need for inpatient hospitalization.About Our Outpatient Clinics (Biddeford & Springvale):Our ambulatory clinics in Biddeford (Springbrook Drive) and Springvale are integral parts of our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, ensuring prompt access to comprehensive and coordinated behavioral health services for individuals and families in York County.
