Hiring a Visual Inspector!Job DescriptionThe Visual Inspector serves as the final quality checkpoint before products leave the manufacturing floor, ensuring each fabricated metal part meets defined standards for appearance, dimensions, and performance. This role uses visual inspection techniques and precision measurement tools to verify that parts conform to prints and work orders, while partnering closely with production teams to maintain and improve overall quality. The position requires strong attention to detail, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment.ResponsibilitiesInspect fabricated metal parts and finished products using visual checks and precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.Compare dimensions, finishes, and tolerances against engineering prints, blueprints, and work orders to verify compliance with specifications.Approve parts that meet quality standards and clearly identify and flag items requiring rework or corrective action.Verify that reworked parts meet all quality requirements before releasing them for the next stage or shipment.Accurately document inspection results in logs, reports, and electronic quality systems to maintain clear and traceable records.Maintain, handle, and calibrate inspection and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.Identify trends in inspection findings and recommend improvements to enhance product quality and process efficiency.Partner with production and manufacturing teams to reinforce quality standards, share best practices, and support continuous improvement.Troubleshoot and resolve quality concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues when necessary.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Use basic computer systems for email, data entry, and web-based quality or production tools as part of daily work.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a metal fabrication or general manufacturing environment.Background in quality control or quality assurance, particularly in production settings.Familiarity with quality systems and documentation practices for recording inspection results.Exposure to the food industry or other regulated environments is beneficial but not required.Why Work Here?You will join a hands-on manufacturing environment that values precision, craftsmanship, and pride in the final product.
