Deli Manager

Pay: $22-$23 per hour Job description This job position is located in Poughkeespie, NY,12603 on 298 Titusville Rd. We are Mobil Gas Station with convenience store. We have deli (Boar's Head) in the store. Opening for full time Deli Manager for Mobil Gas Station . Previous management experience in a retail and/or food service required. JOB DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work all stations, including hot grill, and cold sandwiches/salads, cooking as well as prep work Ability to think critically and make sound decision Familiarity with safe food handling procedures as required by the Health Department Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies. Managing Deli staff to ensure excellent customer service and timely completion of production Creating weekly staff schedules and organizing shifts and coverage Ordering of product from multiple vendors and inventory control Providing responsive, exceptional service to customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests. Slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses. Preparing special orders and party trays. Updating grab and go coolers with food, managing displays, cases, and other areas within the store. Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working order. Confirming that all displays, products, and services comply with company standards. Operating and training employees on operating cash registers, meat and cheese slicers, oven, fryer, microwave, cutting tools, scale, and other kitchen equipment. Delegating duties to staff as required Opportunity to ability to grow new deli with existing high customer traffic . Work Conditions Work involves walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting products weighing up to 50 pounds.
